Wow. A SWBTS professor "open" to Todd Bentley. Not surprised, just disappointed.
Once on MacArthur's TV show, he described the sense of the Hebrew word for "simple" as used in books like Proverbs. Proverbs being written to give wisdom to the simple. He said the image utilized in the Hebrew word for "simple" was "an open door."
I can tell the prof is sadder and wiser, but I hope he's also learned to "shut the door" to keep out foolishness of Bentley's variety.
Cap'n,
My heart breaks for that professor. I would simply die if my son suffered like his. I think I know what I would do but I do not wish to know. God has been so kind to me and mine. It is sad when wolves devour God's sheep and go a long way in stealing their joy.

Amen.
I wonder if this foolishness is just childishness trying to impress and make oneself as "mature" as Christ when He was doing signs and wonders?
You have to admit, Jesus did do some unusal things to people or things, like spit on the ground and put it on the eyeballs of a blind man or spoke to the storm or walked on water and walked through walls, or, or or?
As I listened to these "youtube" video bits I come to thinking more on the meaning of these words of Jesus Himself to His disciples:::>
Joh 21:5 Jesus said to them, "Children, do you have any fish?" They answered him, "No."
Those antics in the youtube presentations seem to me to fit into that characterization at 21:5, "children".
I say that because of something that has been "a ponder" on my mind to me of which I have as yet, these many years not been able to understand:::>
Heb 6:3 And this we will do if God permits.
I am convinced I do not understand that verse even today.
Do you understand that verse in light of the preceding verses back to Hebrews 5:11... to it?
